Walk the streets of the city center and discover the Château de Beynac. This 12th century monument overlooks the village, it is one of the best preserved castles in the region.

Activities for the whole family

In the surroundings of the Relais des 5 Châteaux, you will have many activities to practice with family, friends, alone or as a couple. We particularly advise you to rent a canoe-kayak and go down the Dordogne. You can also take a more relaxing trip along the water by boarding a gabare at Roque-Gageac. Take your bike or rent one and take one of the many cycle paths very close to our establishment. For a fun afternoon with children, go to a tree climbing park, Jacquou Parc, the Périgord Noir aquarium, the Bournat park, etc.

The Château de Marqueyssac

This famous castle is covered with slate stone from the beginning of the 19th century and is surrounded by remarkable and picturesque gardens. These exceptional gardens offer you more than 6 kilometers of walks. You will pass as close as possible to 150,000 hand-pruned boxwoods, lookout points, dry stone huts and breathtaking viewpoints.

The Castle of Castelnaud

In the heart of Périgord Noir, the castle of Castelnaud has watched over the region since the 12th century, on its rocky spur. During your walk at the Château de Castelnaud, you will be charmed by the panorama of the Dordogne. Travel back in time, to the middle ages during your visit to the Château de Castelnaud.

Château Les Milandes

Visit the remarkable gardens and the exceptional castle, Les Milandes, the Château de Joséphine Baker. This castle was built in 1489, then it was abandoned, before being purchased, renovated and repurchased by Joséphine Baker. During your visit, you will learn more about the history of this monument, about Joséphine Baker and you will attend activities such as a bird of prey show.

Lacoste Castle

The Château de Lacoste dates from the 18th century. It is located in the heart of the Périgord Noir, in the Dordogne Valley. The capital of Périgord Noir, Sarlat, is a few kilometers from our family hotel in Beynac. Go to Sarlat and discover its monuments and its charming cobbled streets: the Maison de la Boétie, the Saint Sacerdos Cathedral, the Chapel of the White Penitents, the Sainte Mary Church and its panoramic elevator.

The Cave of Lascaux IV
